Biography
Becky Evans is an artist whose work explores the deep connection between nature, light and the unseen forces that shape the landscape. Inspired by the stillness of forests, rhythms of water, the quiet presence of birds, and the contours of hillsides, she creates paintings that reflect both movement and stillness. Through layered color and texture, her work captures the fleeting interplay of light and atmosphere, revealing the spiritual essence woven into the natural world.
Observation plays a key role in Becky's creative process. She is drawn to how light filters through trees, dances across the surface of water, or casts shifting shadows over the landscapes. Each painting is like a meditation on presence and transformation - an invitation for viewers to pause and connect with something beyond the physical.
Becky has studied with renowned artists Antonio Avigliano in Florence, Italy, Jordan Pope in Montecito, California, and Paul Hamilton in Granville, Ohio. These experiences have helped her develop a unique visual language that balance classical techniques with expressive interpretation. Her work has been exhibited in galleries across the U.S., including Lily in Montecito, California, the Cottonwood Center for the Arts in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the Marcia Evans Gallery in Columbus, Ohio and Picture This in Chillicothe, Ohio.
